William Kerley’s debut feature film is based on the true story of Frank Mitchell, a career criminal who escaped from Dartmoor Prison with the help of Ronnie and Reggie Kray, Britain’s most infamous gangsters, ten days prior to Christmas 1966. Whilst a national manhunt ensued, Mitchell was hiding out in East London with a minder and hostess for company – and finding this new imprisonment increasingly intolerable. ‘The Krays – Mad Axeman’ is a gripping suspense crime drama.

The film was released in the USA in January 2021 with a new title: ‘The London Mob’.
